Final four men to battle it out for medals
Good morning from Hamburg. Can you believe it? It only seems like yesterday we rolled up at the Rothenbaum for the first ever smart Major Hamburg – and today it comes to an end.
Quit your crying! We’ve still got one last stunning day on the sand here and we are going to make the most of it!
It’s men’s finals day – one of the biggest parts of any Swatch Major Series event. And we’ve got four incredibly talented guys gunning for gold who will give anything to stand tallest on the podium and listen to their national anthem.
We kick-start things with a tasty European affair at high noon on Center Court as the Netherlands’ Alex Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen take on Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Konstantin Semenov. The Russian’s qualified for the semis following the dramatic forfeit of German’s Lars Flüggen and Markus Böckermann.
An hour later, at 1pm, it’s North America versus South America as the United States’ Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena take on Brazilian world champions Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt.
Can Brazil grab the gold that was so elusive to the women? There’s only one way to find out and we’d love it if you can join us here live inside the Rothenbaum. Either that, or log into our website and watch our live stream!
