Sluková & Thole dominate the stats

Marketa Sluková (right) scored more points than any other woman at the World Tour Finals
Hamburg Finals silver medalist Marketa Sluková might have missed out on a gold medal but the Czech defender came out on top in three of the top scoring categories.
The 30-year-old scored more points than any other player during the week at the Red Bull Beach Arena with 151 points – 20 more than the next nearest player, Taliqua Clancy. The player with the highest amount of scores per set in the top 10 was American Summer Ross, who amassed 100 points from 10 sets.
No other player smashed more aces than Slukova, with her 15 service winners beating gold medalist Duda by just two.
But most impressive was Marketa’s attacking: she produced 134 kills – 20 more than any other player, averaging seven kills per set. No other team played more sets in the tournament than her and Barbora, with 19.
When it came to blocking, Brandie Wilkerson again showed her dominance at the net with 23 blocks in 12 sets. The Canadian produced an average of 1.92 blockers per set.
Germany's Julius Thole was the men's top scorer at his hometown tournament
In the men’s competition, besides of making a surprising run in to the semifinals, the German young stars Julius Thole and Clemens Wickler figured in the top-three of each individual statistical category in Hamburg.
Thole was the both the best scorer and the best attacker of the event on his hometown. The 21-year-old player scored a total of 144 points, 116 of them in attacks. Gold medalist Anders Mol was next with 133, and Poland’s Michal Bryl, with 120, were the second and third best scorers.
Bryl’s partner, two-time Olympian Grzegorz Fijalek, was the second best attacker, with 109 points. Latvian Martins Plavins, a silver medalist from the 2012 London Olympics, had 105.
Wickler was the most effective server of the entire tournament, scoring 12 points straight from the service line. He was followed by Fijalek (11), Bryl, Italian Paolo Nicolai and Polish Bartosz Losiak, all with nine serving points.
Mol topped the blocking list once again, with impressive 37 points scored over the week. Bryl was ranked second, with 24, while Nicolai and Thole managed to score 23 each.
